Oconto County Health Department Discounts Radon Tests

Health Department partners with local municipalities to offer $5 radon tests to help prevent lung cancer

Radon is a radioactive gas from the ground that can enter your home through tiny cracks in the foundation. Radon causes 21,000 lung cancer deaths nationwide each year and approximately 962 of these deaths are in Wisconsin. Fortunately, this cause of lung cancer is largely preventable. The first step is to test. Pick up a radon test kit at one of the locations listed above to learn about the radon level in your home!
